Rowlinsons have raised a grand total of £8774.84 for SPACE, the firm’s nominated charity 2022-2023, beating our previous annual fund-raising efforts.
SPACE is a Chester based charity which provides a fun, safe and accessible environment in which children with disabilities and additional needs can play and learn. They also provide support and resources for their parents and carers and aim to relieve the isolation experienced by families who have children with additional needs.
During the course of the year, we have held various successful events including our Ride, Row, Run Challenge which involved a 20 mile bike ride, an 11 mile tandem row up the River Dee and finished off with a 2.5 mile run!
This was followed in September with ‘Race to Space’, which saw the team riding two spin bikes inside Morrisons in Frodsham and a further spin bike based in our Frodsham reception. We smashed our goal to ride 248 miles, the distance to the International Space Station, completing a total of 383 miles by the end of the day.
It's not all been physical though, in March this year we were thrilled to have almost 100 people in attendance for our quiz night which included a silent auction, a raffle and 10 unique quiz rounds.

Not only have Rowlinsons assisted financially, but the activities have also helped raise our profile which will have a long-lasting effect on our fund raising.”
