Introduced by the The Law Society in 1998, Lexcel is the quality kitemark for excellence in legal practice management and client care. The Lexcel practice management accreditation is only given to a relatively small number of firms who can demonstrate that they meet the required standards.
In 2009 we successfully gained the Law Society’s Lexcel Accreditation by passing a detailed assessment which was carried out by the Law Society. We have subsequently been assessed in each of the following years, passing on each occasion with flying colours.
The Conveyancing Association is the voice of the specialist UK Conveyancer and the leading trade body for the conveyancing industry. Its membership is currently made up of 80 Solicitors and Licensed Conveyancers, who collectively conduct approximately 25% of all property transactions and 70% of all remortgage transactions in England and Wales. The Association is a not-for-profit organisation that works collectively and proactively to improve the conveyancing process for the consumer and to formulate and implement best practice throughout the industry.
Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme
We are proud to have held the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accreditation since 2011 and were one of the first firm's in the region to be accredited. The CQS accreditation provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices and membership of the scheme demonstrates that such practices have high levels of credibility which can be relied upon by regulators, lenders, insurers as well as residential homebuyers and sellers.
When applying for accreditation firms have to demonstrate strict compliance with the Law Society’s Conveyancing Protocols and prove that they have the necessary skills and expertise to provide quality residential conveyancing advice. This reassures our clients that we will provide them with all the information they need to understand the process, options, costs and timescales from the outset of the transaction.
Law Society’s Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme
We are delighted to be an accredited member of the Law Society’s Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS). This is a quality kitemark for firms who follow best practice procedures in relation to wills and estate administration advice.
The scheme is based on a protocol that sets client service standards to ensure transparency in process, costs and communications.
We were awarded the accreditation in 2014 and were one of the first firms in the country to achieve the same. As it stands we remain one of the few firm's in our region who hold the accreditation.
