Rowlinsons Put Mental Health First

Katie Dutton has become the first employee at Rowlinsons Solicitors to undertake and complete the Mental Health First Aider qualification whilst with the firm.

Katie joins Michelle Fisher and Haydn Roberts who recently joined the business and were already MHFA qualified.

The training courses are provided by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England who are the largest provider of Mental Health First Aid training in the UK and Europe, with over ten years experience of supporting businesses to create and sustain healthier workplaces.

HR and Practice Manager Haydn Roberts commented:

“We have a very positive working environment at Rowlinsons, but we are always looking to build on this, support our staff and promote a healthy workplace.

This training will provide us with the practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues and the knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support.”

The MHFA qualification provides an in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing and aims to build the confidence needed to step in, reassure and support a person in distress using the Mental Health First Aid action plan.
