Over the past 12 months, the staff at Rowlinsons Solicitors have been giving up their time to volunteer within the local community to assist various charities and organisations, providing them with support and assistance where possible.
This community engagement initiative included: -
- SPACE Grosvenor Eaton Estate Garden Party
- Frodsham Christmas festival.
- Rotary Santa sleigh walk.
- Tree planting at Hobhey Woods, Frodsham.
- OPAL – Older People Active Lives – Weekly Tuesday Club and also Go Online club.
- Spirit of the herd pony sanctuary.
- Food bank donations.
Each Tuesday, we have been spending time at the Methodist Church in Frodsham to offer our support to OPAL members. Some of the activities we have joined in with have been quizzes, crafting, chatting and serving food/drinks. We also provided our assistance with OPAL’s “Go Online” initiative which assists older people in using technology and answering any questions they may have in relation to their phones, tablets or computers.
We have also provided assistance to volunteers at Hobhey Woods to plant trees, clear paths and litter pick, as well as donating food and essentials to local food banks. We have included a selection of photographs from each of the events mentioned above to give a snippet of what our staff have been involved in, because as you can tell, there’s a lot to show!
Every member of staff who has given up their time to volunteer has come back to the office feeling fulfilled and happy, strengthening our commitment to the community and the local residents. In total, we have donated 235 hours of our time which equates to over 6 working weeks of volunteering! This is a great achievement that not only benefits the community but also the staff at Rowlinsons who feel passionate about the support they have been able to provide and are very proud to have been able to take part in these events throughout the year.
We wish to thank all the organisations mentioned above for allowing us to assist them with such worthwhile causes, we really have enjoyed it. This year we have something different planned and are excited to announce that we will be supporting one charity this year, so watch this space as all will be revealed soon!
