Rowlinsons Complete 35-Mile Miles for Smiles Walk for Williams Gift

On one of the hottest days of the year so far, a determined team from Rowlinsons Solicitors completed the 35-mile Wirral Circular Trail—all in support of our amazing Charity of the Year, William’s Gift.

Taking on the aptly named ‘Miles for Smiles’ challenge, our team walked the full loop in a single day, with tired feet, sunburned shoulders, and plenty of good humour along the way. It was no easy feat, but spirits remained high throughout as we reminded ourselves exactly who we were walking for.

We’re thrilled to announce that we have so far, including Gift Aid, raised nearly £5500 for William’s Gift, and donations are still open via our JustGiving page.

William’s Gift was founded in memory of William Fenton, a brave little boy who passed away aged six, having spent much of his young life in hospital. The charity provides thoughtful and practical care packages—‘little boxes of smiles’—for children and families facing unexpected hospital stays across the North West.

Andrew Graves, Managing Director at Rowlinsons, said:

“This was without doubt one of the toughest challenges we’ve taken on—35 miles in one day, in blazing heat, pushed us all to our limits. But knowing we were doing it for such a meaningful cause kept us going. I’m incredibly proud of the team for their determination and of the incredible amount we’ve raised for William’s Gift. Thank you to everyone who has supported us—it really does mean the world.

The support we’ve received—through donations, encouragement, and messages has been overwhelming. Every penny raised helps William’s Gift continue their important work, spreading comfort and joy to children during some of their most difficult days.”

We may be nursing a few blisters, but we’re already looking forward to the next challenge!
