The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a dynamic Private Client Solicitor to join our team at Rowlinson's. As a forward-thinking Solicitors Firm, we take pride in our modern outlook and exceptional client service. This role is tailor-made for an ambitious, hardworking, and passionate legal professional specialising in Private Client Law.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Admitted to the Solicitors Roll.

• Proficient knowledge in Private Client Law.

• Ability to contribute profitability to the Private Client Department.

• Strong computer and IT skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Capacity to lead and mentor junior staff, and delegate effectively if required.

Main Responsibilities

• Handle Private Client matters for our valued clients.

• Manage client work allocated by the Department Head or Directors, adhering to the firm's Office Manual, Procedures, and Policies.

• Ensure prompt progression of client work, maintaining regular client updates on progress and    costs.

• Uphold impeccable client care standards with professionalism and courtesy.

• Oversee, guide, and foster the growth of Private Client Assistants and other support staff.

• Maintain utmost confidentiality and security of firm and client documentation and information.

• Achieve individual or departmental billing and time recording goals aligned with the firm's business plan.

• Collaborate closely with the Accounts Department for comprehensive credit control on assigned matters, displaying a strong grasp of the firm's accounting procedures.

• Demonstrate clear, concise communication with fellow team members.

• Participate actively in marketing initiatives, both firm-wide and departmental, promoting the firm's services and image.

• Ensure adherence to quality control and risk management procedures for all handled matters.

• Offer support to colleagues during peak workloads, holidays, or sick leaves.

• Ensure positive relationships with external entities, institutions, and third parties.

• Take ownership of personal professional development and attend self-improvement opportunities.

• Adhere to training mandates set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and contribute to in-house training initiatives.

• Comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct, as well as other applicable professional regulations.

• Maintain compliance with the Lexcel and Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme accreditations and associated protocols.
