Supporting local charities and playing an active part in the local community has always been a big part of Rowlinsons and in 2017 we were delighted to launch our "Charity of the Year" initiative. Since then our fundraising activities have raised thousands of pounds as well as increasing the profile of many local charities.
Our nominated charity for 2021 is Chapter which is dedicated to improving the lives of people living with mental illness. By way of background Chapter assist people across the West Cheshire area who need help to regain their confidence, build resilience, and access training and employment experience. They also work with local businesses to improve mental health in the workplace and provide training to help teams work together to support wellbeing.
Donna Eland, Director at Rowlinsons commented:
“When we were considering various charities Chapter really stood out to us as a firm. The range of services they offer from wellbeing courses through to corporate training, means that not only are they helping individuals suffering from mental illness, but also improving the understanding of how and why positive and negative mental health affects businesses. We felt this particularly relevant given the experiences of the last 12 months and we are looking forward to supporting their upcoming events as well as organising our own fundraising activities throughout the year.”
Daniel Rogers from Chapter said:
“We were thrilled to find out that Rowlinsons has selected us as their charity of the year. Support from local businesses such as Rowlinsons helps us to provide much needed support to local people experiencing mental ill-health. We are excited about developing a partnership with Rowlinsons and have already started discussions looking at how our two organisations can work together to promote positive mental health.”
