Introduced by the The Law Society in 1998, Lexcel is the quality kitemark for excellence in legal practice management and client care. The Lexcel practice management accreditation is only given to a relatively small number of firms who can demonstrate that they meet the required standards.
In 2009 we successfully gained the Law Society’s Lexcel Accreditation by passing a detailed assessment which was carried out by the Law Society. We have subsequently been assessed in each of the following 8 years, passing on each occasion with flying colours.
We are proud to have held the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accreditation since 2011 and were one of the first firms in the region to be accredited. The CQS accreditation provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices and membership of the scheme demonstrates such practices have high levels of credibility which can be relied upon by regulators, lenders, insurers as well as residential homebuyers and sellers.
When applying for accreditation firms have to demonstrate strict compliance with the Law Society’s Conveyancing Protocols and prove that they have the necessary skills and expertise to provide quality residential conveyancing advice. This reassures our clients that we will provide them with all the information they need to understand the process, options, costs and timescales from the outset of the transaction.
We are delighted to be an accredited member of the Law Society’s Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS). This is a quality kitemark for firms who follow best practice procedures in relation to wills and estate administration advice.
The scheme is based on a protocol that sets client service standards to ensure transparency in process, costs and communications.
We were awarded the accreditation in 2014 and were one of the first firms in the country to achieve the same and we remain one of the few firms in our region who hold the accreditation.
Highlighting our expertise in Family Law we hold the Law Society’s Family Law Accreditation and Family Mediation Accreditation.
The Family Law Accreditation is only given to solicitors who have the required expertise in Family Law. Solicitors will have shown, to the satisfaction of the Law Society, that they have and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in this area.
The Family Mediation Accreditation was first established in 2000, with the aim of enabling those in need of family mediation to confidently choose an accredited mediator who has been competence assessed to provide a high-quality mediation service.
